IAR Systems integrates innovative static analysis tool to the IAR Embedded Workbench for 8051
For a number of years, Syntill8 has recommended IAR Embedded Workbench for 8051. Recently, IAR Systems released a major update (version 9.30) that makes it even more appealing to Syntill8 customers. This new release integrates the static analysis tool C-STAT.
IAR Systems offers the complete C/C++ compiler and debugger toolchain IAR Embedded Workbench for 8051. It incorporates user-friendly IDE tools, the highly optimizing IAR C/C++ Compiler and the comprehensive C-SPY Debugger. The newly added C-STAT features innovative static analysis that can detect defects, bugs, and security vulnerabilities as defined by CERT C/C++ and the Common Weakness Enumeration (CWE), as well as help keeping code compliant to coding standards like MISRA C:2004, MISRA C++:2008 and MISRA C:2012. A converter tool to enable porting of projects from the Keil µVision environment to IAR Embedded Workbench is also available.
